The Physical Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. Essential duties include providing direct patient care, evaluating functional needs and outcomes, and consulting with other specialists. This role involves reviewing patients' functional needs and adjusting care plans to ensure optimal outcomes. The Physical Therapist will design and implement a plan of care based on thorough assessment and incorporate participation by significant others when appropriate. Conducting therapy practice within defined standards of care is essential. The Physical Therapist will direct the assistance of support staff to achieve patients' functional goals. Effective communication with other professionals and support staff is crucial for positive patient outcomes. Compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards is required. This position requires documentation of evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regular updates to documentation and maintenance of prescriptions and signatures are necessary. The Physical Therapist will enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keeping current with professional literature is expected. The Physical Therapist will act as a resource to promote therapy in the community. Other related duties may be assigned by management. Professional requirements include meeting dress code standards, reporting to work on time as scheduled, and wearing identification while on duty. All employees must maintain confidentiality in accordance with organizational policy and regulations. Candidates must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals. The physical therapist must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. This role requires the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups. Mathematical skills are necessary for solving practical problems involving mathematical concepts. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions in different forms is crucial.
