Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Behavioral Health Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will assess and manage the care of adult and adolescent patients in a short-term inpatient psychiatric unit. This role involves utilizing a person-centered care approach to develop care plans, prioritizing nursing care to meet the needs of patients and families, and effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Assess patients and families with a spectrum of needs, recognizing normal parameters, deviations, and abnormalities. Develop and prioritize care plans involving patients and families in goal-setting. Implement technical nursing skills and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and make informed clinical decisions proactively. Stay updated on organizational policies, procedures, and standards. Provide resource support to peers and collaborate with other health team members. Lead clinical practice by assisting team members in acquiring essential knowledge and skills. Perform compliant clinical documentation and thorough patient evaluations. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current and active RN license in the state. Clinical experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred. Valid driver's license or state ID may be required. Completion of relevant health screenings and vaccinations as mandated. Why ARMStaffing?
