From administering targeted treatments to collaborating with oncology professionals, you will play a vital role in helping patients fight cancer with confidence and compassion. What You'll Need: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program ARRT Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) Minimum 2 years' experience in radiation therapy. Client requires experience delivering and simulating treatments and participating in quality control monitoring. Experience working in a hospital-based radiation oncology department preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate radiation-producing equipment and follow radiation safety procedures, including use of radiation badges and adherence to physicist and physician treatment instructions. Experience documenting in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and educating patients/families on expected side effects and treatment aids. Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and to serve as a clinical instructor or preceptor for RTT/RTR students, when requested (preferred). Additional Duties: Deliver consistent, precise therapy to designated treatment areas per physician prescription and physicist directions. Simulate new patients and set up treatment fields accurately. Position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report to physician immediately. Participate in daily warm-up and quality control procedures to maintain equipment tolerances. Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records in EMR. Educate patients and families on side effects and use of treatment aids. Practice universal precautions and ensure patient and staff safety.
