Radiology Tech Location: Oregon Agency: KPG Healthcare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position KPG Healthcare is seeking an experienced Mammography Technician for a permanent position. As a Mammography Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing high-quality mammographic examinations, contributing to the early detection of breast cancer. Your expertise in mammography and dedication to patient care will make you a valuable asset to our healthcare partners. Description Specialty: Mammography Tech Location: Silverton, Oregon Pay: Depending on experience Shift Time: Days, Minimum of 3 days/week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays), 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST. Additional ... Weekly Hours: 40 Qualifications: Education : Completion of an accredited mammography technology program. Certification: Current certification as a Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M) or equivalent. Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice. Experience: Previous experience as a Mammography Technologist is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficient in operating mammography equipment and relevant software. Familiarity with digital mammography and 3D tomosynthesis is a plus. Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication Skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach. Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality mammographic images and maintain accurate records. Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards. Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and positioning patients as necessary and standing for extended periods. Key Responsibilities: Perform Mammography Examinations: Conduct mammographic examinations to screen for and diagnose breast abnormalities while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order. Perform routine quality control checks and maintain records. Patient Care: Welcome and prepare patients for mammography procedures, addressing their questions and concerns. Maintain a compassionate and respectful approach to patient care. Image Analysis: Review and interpret mammography images for quality and clinical significance, identifying any abnormalities or concerns. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including images, exam details, and relevant clinical information while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss patient histories and provide preliminary findings when necessary. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns. Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in mammography technology, techniques, and best practices through ongoing education and professional development. Quality Improvements: Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of mammography services.
