Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel - Must be able to start on 06/10/2026 Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience required Current Vermont RN License or Compact/Multi-State RN License required BLS Certification (AHA) required ACLS Certification required Flu vaccination required – no exceptions Must be comfortable treating primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric patients No Pediatric-only RNs. Adult experience is required. Night Shift availability required Meditech experience preferred Job Summary:- Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Night Shift Med/Surg assignment in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. The RN will provide care primarily to adult patients with occasional pediatric patients in a general Med/Surg setting. The role requires strong acute care experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Roles & Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the Nursing Process Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans Care for medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric patients Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Ensure patient-centered care while addressing age-specific and psychosocial needs Follow hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards Patterns Hiring Job ID #295787.
