Details Acute care hospital setting with 158 staffed beds Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts) Every other weekend is required On-call is required for this position Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required Block scheduling is not available Charting is done in Epic; Epic experience is required Free parking is available on-site Requirements Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be accepted — note this when applying Active MO state RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Navy scrubs are required for this position First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required Completion of orientation modules is required prior to start American Traveler Job ID #P-705913.
