Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Anderson, SC Agency: SnapCare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/18/2026 About the Position Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist Job Details: Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and data entry• Provide quality patient care and intensive respiratory care with minimal supervision Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans Explain procedures, treatments, and equipment to patients and provide discharge education Operate various ventilatory equipment including invasive and non-invasive ventilation Administer prescribed medications through various oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices Perform chest physiotherapy using specialized equipment for secretion clearance Conduct suctioning procedures including oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods Monitor patients using oximetry and capnography according to facility policy Review chest x-rays to determine need for further evaluation Perform 12-Lead EKGs with basic arrhythmia recognition Conduct pulmonary function studies including NIF and VC testing Assist with respiratory-related procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement Provide tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes Perform arterial puncture procedures and monitor ventilation efficiency Execute cardiopulmonary resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines Insert and remove endotracheal tubes using free hand technique and video laryngoscope Set up, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment Document all treatments and patient responses in respiratory care records Communicate with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness Participate in shift-to-shift handoff communications during walking rounds Facility: This healthcare facility specializes in critical illness and rehabilitation services, providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients with complex medical needs.
