Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Grosse Pointe Woods, MI Agency: SnapCare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/18/2026 About the Position Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist Job Details: Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and data entry• 8 week assignment duration Provide quality intensive respiratory care with minimal supervision Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans Explain procedures and treatments to patients and provide discharge education Conduct physician prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive) Operate oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices for medication administration Perform chest physiotherapy and various suctioning methods Monitor patients using oximetry and capnography according to policy Review chest x-rays and perform 12-Lead EKGs with basic arrhythmia recognition Conduct pulmonary function studies and assist with respiratory procedures Perform tracheostomy care including tube insertion and removal Conduct arterial punctures and monitor ventilation efficiency Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines Insert and remove endotracheal tubes using various techniques Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment Document all treatments and patient responses accurately Communicate with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness Participate in shift-to-shift handoff communications Facility: This critical illness and rehabilitation specialty hospital focuses on providing comprehensive respiratory care services to patients requiring intensive treatment.
