Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Sylvania, OH Agency: SnapCare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist Job Details: Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and data entry• Provide quality patient care with intensive respiratory care and patient transport Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans with minimal supervision Explain treatment procedures and equipment to patients, providing discharge education Conduct physician prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive) Operate oxygen and aerosol devices, nebulizers for medication administration Perform chest physiotherapy using various equipment to promote secretion clearance Conduct suctioning procedures (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal) Perform oximetry and capnography monitoring according to facility policy Review chest x-rays to determine need for further evaluation Perform 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition Conduct pulmonary function studies (NIF, VC, etc.) Assist with respiratory care procedures (bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, chest tube placement) Perform chest drainage via PleurX catheter or similar devices Provide tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tubes Perform arterial puncture and monitor ventilation efficiency Follow laboratory testing policies for moderate complexity labs Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines Insert and remove endotracheal tubes using free hand technique and video laryngoscope Set up, test, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment Assist with equipment preventative maintenance and repairs Document treatments and patient responses in respiratory care records Communicate with physicians regarding therapy efficiency Facility: This healthcare facility specializes in critical illness and rehabilitation services, providing comprehensive respiratory therapy care across multiple service lines.
