Surgical Tech Location Omaha, NE Agency Jackson HealthPros Pay $1,853 to $2,053 per week Shift Information Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration 13 Weeks Start Date 5/25/2026 About the Position AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Surg Tech in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124! Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Omaha, NE. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. You will prepare the OR, sterilize and arrange instruments and equipment, and support intraoperative patient care while following hospital policies and safety protocols. Minimum Requirements: Certification from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or NBSTSA-certified (CST) or equivalent training. Military-trained technologists accepted. BLS Certification required at time of submission. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CVOR surgical technologist with proficiency in coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) and valve replacement procedures. Experience in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required. Open heart and vascular experience strongly preferred. Proficiency with EPIC charting preferred. Indicate if EPIC experience within the last 6 months. Driver’s license required at time of submittal to verify radius requirement. Compliance with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas. Candidates must not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with the specified health system within a 50-mile radius. Required at submission: date of birth, SSN, phone, email, permanent address, COVID vaccination status or exemption, and return-to-work availability (7 days or less required for a 13-week contract). Assignment Details: Facility type: Hospital. Unit: CVOR (cardiac operating room). Shift: Days. Options include five 8-hour shifts Monday–Friday or four 10-hour shifts (day off dependent on schedule and staffing). Typical day shift start times: 6:30 AM with end times varying by shift option (6:30–3:00 PM for 8-hour; 6:30–5:00 PM for 10-hour). Call coverage required. Call includes weekdays, weekend coverage, and holidays as scheduled. Weekday call may occur Monday–Thursday; weekend on-call begins Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM. Number of call shifts varies; typically days plus rotating call. Orientation: 12 hours. Assignment duration: 13 weeks.
