Details Acute care hospital setting in the Radiology/Ultrasound department Department has 4 scanner rooms Studies include general abdominal US (renal, liver, RUQ, spleen), vascular (carotid, femoral), PVR, venous reflux, early OB, OB anatomy, BPP, and transvaginal imaging Average of 12–14 scans/studies per day Equipment includes GE and Canon ultrasound systems EMR is Epic; PACS system is Fuji Monday through Friday evening shift, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (8-hour shifts) On-call rotation covering nights and weekends; no holiday coverage required No floating to other areas No IV start requirement Requirements Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience BLS certification (AHA) required RDMS-AB (Abdomen) via ARDMS required Breast sonography certification required RVT certification preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Experience in an acute care hospital setting License required if applicable Valid driver's license required for consideration Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Perform general abdominal, vascular, obstetric, and transvaginal ultrasound studies Supervised by a Radiology Manager; no in-house radiologist on staff No RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants) used in the department Black scrubs required; scrubs are not provided Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered Travelers are not eligible to work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year without a 2-year break First-time travelers will be interviewed directly with a unit manager American Traveler Job ID #P-705981.
