Duties- Drag brush to trailer/chipper - Chip brush or slash in trailer with a chainsaw - Keep work area clean - Apply safety to everything you do (your new potential boss is a leading safety trainer in the industry) - Assist the climber and be attentive to their needs - Fuel and oil saws properly - Learn basic everyday tree knots and master them - Rake and blow job-site when tree operations are finished to leave a better than we found it job-site - Speak to Clients and passers-by when approached, but know when to hand it off if you do not know the answers to their questions (be professional!) - Tree ID or learn if you do not already know common species - Ability to lift 50pounds unassisted - Operate a Mini Skid Steer efficiently and safely - Take direction and apply it - Understand written and oral instruction - Driving a truck with a trailer (this is a requirement) - Learn tree care industry terminology (we have our own lingo and the way we speak about trees and the work itself - it is a standard that is required of you to learn and understand) Qualifications- Driver's License with a clean record - Experience in the tree care industry is a plus, but not required - Good attitude and ability to get along in the interview is a major plus (this is how crews work together so well) - Chainsaw skills:limbing, bucking, felling not required but a plus! Because this company is based on higher quality tree care, this extends to the way we work and present ourselves on the job site.If we like you, but you have some bad habits that need correcting, the willingness to be corrected is huge.We will be respectful unless you are a major risk to yourself or others.Your ability to be constructively critiqued is required.Job Types:Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Internship Pay:$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours:20 - 40 per week Benefits:On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Professional development assistance Safety equipment provided People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Application Question(s):Do you have a clean driving record AND a current Driver's License? We work various hours and days depending on our Client's needs.This includes storm:emergency work where you may be woken up in the middle of the night to come help on an emergency job.This is a requirement.We also schedule work on Saturdays on occasion because we work by the job, not the day.I do my best to leave Sundays open unless it is an emergency.Our schedule varies, but the pay is good.Is this kind of schedule something you are willing to work with?
