As a Groundsman, you will play a vital part in ensuring that grounds are well-kept, safe, and visually appealing for communities, clients, or organizational facilities. Your hands-on work will help create inviting environments that inspire and delight everyone who visits. Duties Assist with landscaping projects including planting, mowing, edging, and general lawn care to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely for tree trimming, pruning, and landscape maintenance tasks Support tree care activities such as planting new trees, trimming branches, and removing hazards to promote healthy growth Use rigging techniques to lift and position heavy materials or equipment during landscape installations or repairs Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning landscape layouts or maintenance routes Maintain equipment including cleaning, basic repairs, and proper storage to ensure longevity and safety standards are met Skills Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping with growing knowledge of plant health and landscape design principles Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently for elevated work such as tree trimming or utility line clearance Skilled in rigging techniques for lifting heavy objects securely during landscape projects Familiarity with GIS software for mapping grounds or planning maintenance routes Strong understanding of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, planting, and hazard removal Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and weed control Hands-on experience with landscape maintenance tools and equipment along with a proactive approach to safety standards Embark on a rewarding career where your efforts directly enhance outdoor environments!
