Duties Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver freight efficiently and safely Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods Drive on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining punctuality Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Assist with warehouse duties when needed, including organizing freight and preparing shipments for transport Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the truck types operated (e.g., manual transmission experience preferred) Proven experience as a truck driver with a focus on freight delivery; prior delivery driver experience is highly valued Ability to operate various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures for long-haul or local deliveries Skilled in load & unload operations using forklifts or manual methods as required Familiarity with regulations related to commercial driving and transportation safety standards Physical ability to handle loading equipment and perform inspections; comfortable working in different weather conditions Embark on a career that moves you forward!
