Responsibilities Safely operate various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across assigned routes. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Navigate route driving with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic laws to deliver goods promptly. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred. Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles and tractor-trailers. Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods. Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight transportation and vehicle maintenance.
