OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Turret Punch Press Programmer and Operator with a minimum of three years of hands-on expertise to join our dynamic manufacturing team.This role is vital in ensuring precise, efficient, and high-quality sheet metal fabrication through expert programming and operation of turret punch presses.You will be responsible for translating engineering drawings into accurate machine programs, setting up and maintaining the equipment, and ensuring that production runs smoothly and safely.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and are passionate about manufacturing excellence, this position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to innovative fabrication projects.Responsibilities Program turret punch presses using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems to produce complex sheet metal parts aligned with detailed blueprints and specifications Set up, operate, and troubleshoot turret punch presses, ensuring optimal machine performance and safety compliance Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to accurately produce parts Conduct quality inspections utilizing micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances meet standards Maintain proper tooling setup, changeover procedures, and tooling inventory management for efficient production cycles Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, welding, and other machining techniques Perform routine maintenance on machinery Support assembly processes by fabricating components ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process Experience Minimum of three years' experience programming and five years' operating turret punch presses in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and software specific to turret punch machines Proficiency in blueprint reading with an understanding of GD&T principles for precision manufacturing Hands-on experience with various fabrication equipment including CNC laser cutters, press brakes, welding equipment, and hand tools Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes from raw material handling to final assembly Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers for quality inspection Mechanical aptitude complemented by basic math skills necessary for accurate measurements and calculations in machining tasks Prior experience working with cranes or forklifts is preferred but not mandatory; safety certifications are advantageous Join us if you're ready to bring your technical expertise into a collaborative environment that values precision craftsmanship!
