Non Instructional/Support Services Job Number 4600320923 Start Date Open Date 05/02/2026 Closing Date 07/01/2026 General Definition of Work The Tutor, under general supervision, performs instructional work with minimal decision-making discretion related to implementing a supplemental instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides, and encourages students to support and fulfill their academic goals. Employee performs school-based work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the principal. Salary/Status Flat Rate Hourly/Part-time, 9 months Reports To Principal Place of Work The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time. Essential Functions Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures Deliver educational lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning Monitor and evaluate student progress to address individual needs Provide supervision of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment Perform related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge and understanding of the principles, practic
