Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher to provide essential consultation services in an educational setting located in Greenville, GA. This contract role is designed for professionals passionate about supporting students with visual impairments, offering 20-25 hours per week focused on consultation. Key Qualifications Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. Experience in providing consultation services within school environments. Strong understanding of visual impairment strategies, assessment, and intervention. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and administration. Ability to develop and implement specialized educational plans tailored to student needs. Location: Greenville, GA Responsibilities Deliver 20-25 hours of expert consultation services to schools, supporting teachers and staff in accommodating students with visual impairments. Collaborate with educational teams to assess student needs and recommend appropriate resources and adaptations. Provide training and support to school personnel to enhance instructional strategies. Monitor student progress and adjust recommendations as necessary to optimize learning outcomes. Serve as a resource for families, offering guidance and advocating for students' educational access.
