About The Role We are seeking a Founding UI/UX Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Seattle or remotely on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the entire user experience of our product, from conceptualization to implementation. As a founding member of our design team, you will have the unique opportunity to influence the product’s design philosophy and set the standard for future development. Your work will directly impact how security, privacy, and compliance professionals interact with our platform, ensuring it is intuitive, efficient, and meets the high standards of our enterprise users. You will collaborate closely with founders and cross-functional teams, translating complex technical workflows into clear, user-friendly interfaces. This role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for designing impactful solutions that resonate with demanding users, and the ability to execute design ideas from initial sketches to polished, production-ready interfaces. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design for web applications, preferably in B2B SaaS environments Strong frontend engineering skills, including proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js, and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind Proven ability to develop products from low-fidelity concepts to fully polished interfaces Experience in building and maintaining design systems or component libraries for consistency and scalability Data-informed approach with the ability to analyze user behavior and incorporate feedback effectively Startup mindset: ability to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and take ownership of projects Experience designing entirely new products from scratch Proficiency with Figma-to-code workflows or other rapid prototyping tools (e.g., v0, Lovable) Interest or background in security, privacy, or developer tools is a plus Responsibilities Own the entire front-end of the product, from high-level information architecture to final implementation Design and optimize user journeys across all product features, ensuring intuitive flows for both technical and non-technical users Create and enforce UX requirements and establish design standards to maintain consistency Continuously enhance usability by reducing friction and improving performance metrics Monitor product usage through analytics and user feedback to inform design decisions Collaborate closely with founders and cross-disciplinary teams to align design strategies with business goals Develop and maintain scalable design systems or component libraries Prototype new features rapidly using Figma or other tools, translating concepts into functional interfaces Benefits Competitive salary and equity options Flexible remote work environment with opportunities for in-office collaboration in Seattle Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage Generous paid time off and holidays Professional development opportunities and continuous learning support Be part of a fast-paced, innovative startup with a collaborative culture Opportunity to make a significant impact as a founding team member Equal Opportunity Clearly AI is an equal opportunity employer.
