Job Title: Unarmed Standing Security Guard Schedule:Full Time Monday - Friday 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM About the Position Superior Protection Services is seeking a Professional Unarmed Security Officer for a large logistics and distribution facility in California.This position is stationed primarily at the guard shack and employee entrance, where officers are responsible for screening inbound and outbound vehicles and personnel, verifying documentation, conducting security checks, and maintaining a strong visible presence to deter theft.This is a strictly observe and report role -- no weapons are carried or permitted.Officers will wear a high-visibility safety vest at all times while on property and must follow strict safety and security protocols. Key Responsibilities Screen all guests entering the property (metal detector wand checks required when flagged) Check and verify all inbound and outbound trucks and trailers Log trailer numbers, seal numbers, driver information, carrier names, BOLs, and gate passes Ensure proper documentation before trucks depart Verify load locks on outbound containers Conduct employee entry/exit checks (wand checks may be required) Perform visual inspections of bags and personal items Issue temporary high-visibility vests when necessary Maintain detailed electronic logs via computer or iPad Enforce strict no-weapons policy Patrol property as assigned Maintain strong visibility as a theft deterrent Qualifications / Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Valid California Guard Card Valid driver's license Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently Must act on issues in a timely manner Ability to speak with authority and compassion Physical Requirements Stand or walk for long periods of time Work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds Job Type:Part-time Pay:$20.00 per hour Application Question(s): What is your current Guard Card License number?
