Job Description
We are a growing plumbing and underground utility company seeking an experienced Underground Water & Sewer Technician to join our team.This position focuses on the installation, repair, and replacement of underground water and sewer lines for residential and light commercial properties.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with excavation, pipe installation, and restoration, and can work independently or as part of a crew to complete jobs safely and efficiently.Responsibilities Perform underground water and sewer line installations, repairs, and replacements Excavate job sites using mini-excavators, trenchers, or hand tools Locate, expose, and replace damaged or collapsed sewer and water lines Install piping materials including PVC, SDR, cast iron, ductile iron, and copper Perform sewer repairs such as spot repairs, full line replacements, and tie-ins Assist with cleanouts, taps, and main line connections Backfill, compact, and restore work areas (soil, concrete, asphalt, pavers, landscaping) Read and interpret job orders, utility markings, and site plans Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers professionally Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order Qualifications 2years of experience in underground water and/or sewer work (preferred) Strong understanding of underground plumbing systems and materials Experience operating excavation equipment (preferred but not required) Ability to lift 75lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Preferred Skills (Plus but Not Required) Sewer camera inspection experience Pipe bursting or trenchless repair experience Concrete and asphalt restoration experience Plumbing or utility certifications CDL or equipment operation certifications Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Company vehicle (for qualified technicians) Health insurance options Paid time off Steady year-round work Opportunity for growth and advancement Job Type:Full-time Pay:$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:On the road.
