Pipe layer Position Overview The Pipe layer is responsible for installing sanitary and stormwater sewer systems by accurately aligning, positioning, and connecting pipe structures according to project specifications. Responsibilities: Install sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems. Cut pipes to specified lengths according to project requirements. Assist with aligning pipes during pipeline construction. Align and position pipes for welding or sealing. Verify slopes and grades using levels, lasers, or other measuring equipment. Connect pipe sections and seal joints using welding equipment, cement, or approved adhesives. Tap and drill holes in pipes to install auxiliary lines or devices. Cover pipes with soil or other approved materials. Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools. Train crew members in proper pipe-laying techniques. Perform other general labor and construction-related duties as required. Qualifications: Ability to read and follow building plans, blueprints, and supervisory instructions; lay out work accurately; and perform tasks efficiently using the appropriate tools and materials. Must be physically capable of performing manual labor in various environments and conditions, including h
