Underwriter II

A company is looking for an Underwriter II (Remote). Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of life insurance applications to determine underwriting classifications Execute underwriting policies and procedures for new business processing and departmental workflows Analyze medical information, including test results and medical records, to support underwriting decisions Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred 1-2 years of experience as an Underwriter trainee or Junior Underwriter Actively pursuing the LOMA Underwriting (UND) designation; LOMA 280 & 290 recommended within 1 year Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
