The Underwriting Analyst plays a critical role in supporting EmpiRx Health’s growth by developing financial underwriting models, pricing strategies, and analytical insights that support client proposals, renewals, and market checks. This role partners cross-functionally with sales, operations, clinical, and account management teams to develop financial offers, analyze program performance, and communicate value-based pharmacy benefit strategies. The analyst contributes to strategic decision-making by building financial models, interpreting data, and ensuring client agreements are implemented accurately. Key Responsibilities: Financial Modeling & Underwriting Develop financial underwriting models to support Request for Proposals (RFPs), renewals, and market checks Build pricing strategies and financial offers for prospective and existing clients Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making Analytics & Reporting Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate program performance, cost savings, and ROI Develop analytic reports and dashboards to support internal stakeholders and client needs Interpret financial data and communicate insights to leadership and cross-functional teams Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with sales, proposals, marketing, clinical, and account management teams to support financial strategy Assist with internal reporting and development of financial methodologies and analytics frameworks Ensure client accounts are configured according to agreed financial terms and conditions Strategic & Operational Support Participate in corporate financial planning and business strategy initiatives Support pharmacy benefits pricing strategies and client reporting processes Manage multiple analytical requests while prioritizing high-impact initiatives Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, or other relevant concentration For remote candidates only: 2+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, underwriting, or financial analytics For candidates with less than 2 years’ experience, must be able to commute to Montvale, NJ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Lookups, Pivot Tables, Sum/Sum If, If Statements Strong analytical and mathematical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to leadership Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications but Not Required Master’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field Experience in PBM, health plan, or healthcare industry Experience with financial underwriting or pricing models Experience using data visualization or analytics tools such as Tableau or Domo Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud Work Environment: On-Site for Candidates with less than 2 years’ experience or Remote for candidates with 2+ years of prior experience Benefits And Perks Subject to program eligibility, this position qualifies for a robust suite of benefits including Paid Time Off, a 401(k) program, Health Insurance including Dental & Vision coverage, Health Savings Account, and an Employee Assistance Program.
