Job Title: Unix / Linux Admin Location: Detroit, MI 48226 (Onsite) Rate: $50/hr on W2 Job Description Perform IBM AIX, and Linux - RHEL Server system administration, including installation, operational support for servers and customization Must have knowledge of the latest IBM architectures (P6/P7) and Proficiency in all aspects of LPAR (Logical Partition) generation and reconfiguration Provide support for OS-related issues and assist with RCA (Root Cause Analysis) analysis for AIX OS & RHEL (Operating System)issues and product related issues Partner with and assist internal technology and business partners to provide RCA, support and solutions on complex problems and configurations Act as an internal consultant to achieve common goals in such areas as design review, performance tuning, problem trouble shooting, deployment planning, continued maintenance and analysis Track complex system problems, using all available resources, (vendor support, online documentation) Creation of LPARs including fully virtualized partitions and partially virtualized partitions Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades on Advanced Power Virtualization VIO servers including Shared Ethernet Adapter(SEA) and redundant VIO servers Effective collaboration across teams and with client stakeholders.
