Job Description
Valuations Lead Convertible Securities The Valuations Lead is responsible for providing timely and accurate end-of-day evaluations of convertible securities including convertible corporate bonds and preferred stock for LSEG Pricing Service. LSEG evaluations are used by banks, asset managers, index managers, wealth managers, and auditors for client statements, research, risk analysis, performance metrics, and portfolio valuation. LSEG provides evaluations on over 3MM fixed income securities and derivatives daily. About LSEG Pricing Service LSEG Pricing Service provides real time and validated end of day evaluated prices on over 3MM securities. Our staff consists of over 145 fixed income professionals in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Mumbai, Bangalore, Singapore, Lagunilla de Heredia, and Gdynia. Coverage includes sovereign debt, corporate debt, convertible securities, bank debt, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, municipal securities, derivatives, and structured notes. Valuation Lead Responsibilities Drive methodology / automation enhancements to improve the coverage and pricing accuracy of convertible securities Liaise with key stakeholders including senior management, clients, and index operations Assess and improve the market color used in the evaluation process Develop key performance indicators that assess pricing accuracy Improve the speed and quality of price challenge responses Spot anomalies and inefficiencies of pricing models and make recommendations for solutions Evaluate a portfolio of fixed income securities and fill in for others during holiday periods Train and mentor junior evaluators and guide them through periods of market dislocation and volatility Document work procedures and methodology enhancements Explain pricing methodologies to customers - both high level and individual security analysis Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Finance 5+ years of experience in convertible securities pricing Strong understanding of equity derivatives valuation methodologies Solid knowledge of fixed income mathematics and analytics Advanced spreadsheet skills, with the ability to analyze and manage large datasets Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of direct customer interaction Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team Career Stage: Senior Associate Compensation/Benefits Information: LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $151,000 - $251,600. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
