Drop-In Center Program Staff Part-Time, year-round.Weekly hours will vary, averaging 20 hours per week.Education/Training/ExperienceClean driving record, current PA Driver's License, 12 college credits (or equivalency) in behavioral health, education and/or rehabilitation, Preferred:As above plus a Bachelor's degree and two years experience working in a human services/vocational rehabilitation or related field.Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Van Driver/ Program Staff is responsible for assisting with the facilitation of the educational and therapeutic activities at at the Step-Up Drop-in Center located in Latrobe under the direction of the Program Coordinator.Responsibilities include the following:Assist with providing transportation for center members to and from the center, as well as other program-related activities as needed.Provide assistance to the other program staff in the day-to-day operations of the center.Facilitate the educational/therapeutic activities at the center.Orient new member to the center, including completing new membership paperwork, reviewing policies and practices, and other related tasks.Ensure all member files have current and accurate information.Assist with program planning and interpretation of overall program objectives.Ensure HIPAA, DPW and other regulatory compliance.TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED Telephone, personal computer including word processing software, copy machine, fax machine, 10-key calculator, typewriter, cellular phone, passenger van.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear.The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.The employee must be able to provide physical support and stability assistance to center members getting on to, and off of, the van.WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The employee will be required to drive and/or travel long distances, as needed, to perform job functions.The work is performed routinely in an office setting and occasionally driving a passenger van.The noise level in the work environment is moderate.Routine distractions encountered in the work environment are moderate.Driving the passenger van will occur in different weather, traffic and lighting conditions The employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek and provide supervisory assistance as appropriate.Job Type:Part-time Pay:From $17.00 per hour Benefits:Flexible schedule Paid time off Professional development assistance Application Question(s):Do you have a clean driving record?
