Summary Canyon Ridge High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic program as a Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and team dynamics, and will work closely with the head coach to develop and implement effective training programs. This is a seasonal position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our student-athletes in a supportive and competitive environment. Responsibilities Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practices, drills, and game strategies. Provide instruction and feedback to student-athletes on skills and techniques to enhance their performance. Help monitor the academic progress and personal development of team members, ensuring a balance between athletics and academics. Support the head coach in game day preparations, including warm-ups, strategy discussions, and player substitutions. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations. Assist in the recruitment and selection of team members, ensuring a fair and inclusive process. Attend all scheduled practices, games, and team meetings, demonstrating commitment and leadership. Collaborate with the head coach on the development of game schedules, travel arrangements, and team logistics. Requirements Previous experience playing or coaching volleyball at the high school level or higher. Strong understanding of volleyball rules, strategies, and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching team and contribute to a positive team
