Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Vendor Migration Project Manager to join an industry leading credit union located in McLean, VA. The Vendor Migration Project Manager will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a regulated financial services environment, with responsibility for servicer transition planning and execution and broader operations and portfolio servicing project delivery. This role will drive operational readiness, risk mitigation, process improvement, and compliant delivery of business outcomes across transitions, transformations, and other high-impact initiatives. Responsibilities for the Vendor Migration Project Manager Include: Lead end-to-end servicer transitions including onboarding, offboarding, migration planning, parallel runs, and stabilization activities. Develop and manage plans for data migration, account mapping, system readiness, process alignment, staffing impacts, and control validation across operational initiatives. Lead non-servicer project initiatives such as process redesign, controls remediation, policy and procedure updates, and operational readiness for new products or strategic changes. Partner with IT and business teams to deliver requirements, testing, training, and rollout for tooling, reporting, workflow, and data enhancements supporting servicing and collections operations. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Compliance, Legal, IT, Finance, and Vendor Management to execute initiatives and mitigate operational risk. Manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints while escalating issues impacting customer experience, compliance, operational performance, or financial outcomes. Ensure knowledge transfer, SOP alignment, and documented operational handoffs to support continuity, adoption, and audit readiness. Support controlled wind-downs, remediation efforts, and account reallocations for underperforming servicing partners. Qualifications for the Vendor Migration Project Manager Include: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field required. 3–5+ years of project management experience within financial services, operations, or another regulated environment. Experience managing vendor or servicer transitions, migrations, or similarly complex operational initiatives involving data migration, operational handoffs, and stabilization activities. Strong understanding of operational risk management, process improvement, and cross-functional project delivery. PMP, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt), or related certification preferred. Familiarity with collections, recoveries, loan servicing, or consumer finance operations, heavily preferred Compensation for the Vendor Migration Project Manager includes: Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 annually depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Sick leave as required by law This job opens for applications on 5/8/2026.
