Job Description
FloridaWild Veterinary Hospital, a full-service integrative animal hospital in Sanford, Florida, is seeking a Veterinarian to join our close‑knit, mission-driven team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals while practicing in an environment that blends high-quality conventional medicine with holistic and alternative therapies. You will perform thorough physical examinations, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, interpret laboratory and imaging results, and manage both wellness and complex medical cases. You will also perform soft-tissue surgeries and dentistry, including dental cleanings and extractions, with a strong emphasis on safe anesthesia, multimodal pain management, and Fear Free, low-stress handling for every patient. As part of an integrative practice, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on treatment plans that may incorporate modalities such as nutritional counseling, herbal or supplemental support, and other holistic approaches alongside traditional care. You will be a key partner in educating clients, taking time to explain diagnoses, review treatment options, and support them in making informed, compassionate decisions for their pets. Clear, empathetic communication and a passion for building long-term, trusting relationships with clients are essential. You will work closely with our experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a collaborative, learning-focused environment. Responsibilities include participating in daily rounds, contributing to case reviews, and engaging in ongoing professional development related to both conventional and integrative medicine. Accurate, timely electronic medical recordkeeping and adherence to all regulatory guidelines are expected. The ideal candidate is committed to whole-pet health, enthusiastic about Fear Free and low-stress care, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team that values compassion, respect, and continuous improvement in pursuit of exceptional patient care.
