Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, ensuring proper restraint and handling of animals including dogs, cats, and small birds. Manage animal restraint during examinations or treatments using proper animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care routines. Maintain detailed records of treatments, laboratory results, and patient histories while adhering to veterinary terminology standards. Qualifications Proven kennel experience with a strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology to effectively support clinical procedures. Ability to handle dogs confidently through dog training skills and dog handling experience; comfortable working with various species. Strong animal husbandry skills with an emphasis on pet care. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with pet owners about treatment plans.
