Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary hospital team as a Veterinary Hospital Team Member and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for animals and outstanding service to pet owners. You will assist with animal care, support veterinary procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of our clinic, all while gaining valuable experience in veterinary medicine. This paid position is perfect for passionate individuals eager to grow their career in animal health and welfare. We are looking for a full time, set schedule employee. Duties Provide compassionate animal handling and restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for animals and staff Assist with kennel management, including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring animals’ health status Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with medication administration, laboratory testing, and basic clinical tasks Maintain accurate records of animal care, treatments, and medications following aseptic techniques and veterinary protocols Greet pet owners at the front desk, schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and manage client communication efficiently Assist with animal catheterization, intravenous access, and other technical procedures under supervision Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and equines with confidence and professionalism while adhering to safety standards Skills Prior kennel experience and animal husbandry skills that demonstrate a caring approach to animal welfare Veterinary technician or assistant experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology and clinical procedures Critical care experience in a veterinary setting is highly desirable Strong front desk skills including client communication, appointment scheduling, and record keeping Proficiency in animal restraint techniques for various species; experience with dog handling is especially valued Ability to administer medications accurately following veterinary instructions; familiarity with aseptic techniques is a plus Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, laboratory procedures, and pet care best practices Equine experience or handling skills are an added advantage for clinics that serve larger animals This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in veterinary medicine while making a positive impact on animals’ lives.
