Veterinary Receptionist Here at Countryside Veterinary Service, we offer a supportive, organized, and team-oriented workplace where your contributions are valued and your growth is encouraged.As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic veterinary setting, build strong client relationships, and work alongside professionals who are committed to excellent care--for pets, clients, and each other.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while appreciating structure, collaboration, and purpose in their work.Key Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and empathy Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and team members Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar with accuracy and efficiency Answer phones and respond to client inquiries regarding services, medications, and general pet care Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is complete and up to date Process payments and handle billing questions with care and attention to detail Assist veterinary staff with administrative and front-desk support as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations Customer Service & Culture Genuinely treat clients, co-workers, and business partners as the most important person every interaction, every time.Demonstrate kindness, respect, eye contact, a smile, and a sincere thank you Approach daily tasks with energy, urgency, and a positive attitude Show appreciation for teammates and contribute to a supportive, respectful workplace Arrive prepared and on time for work and meetings Team Mentality Show a genuine interest in helping others before yourself Helps create a positive, supportive team environment simply because it's the right thing to do.Teachability & Growth Eager to listen, learn, and apply feedback Desire to grow as a knowledge expert in your role Ability to adapt in a changing and fast-paced environment Apply basic math, grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills accurately Organization & Efficiency Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Demonstrate pride and ownership in your work while meeting expected deadlines Maintain attention to detail in all tasks Dress Code Maintain a professional, clean, and welcoming appearance in accordance with clinic dress and grooming standards Schedule Requirements Demonstrates flexibility in working assigned schedules, including 8a.m.-5p.m.Monday through Friday and 8a.m.-12p.m.on Saturdays.However, these are the hours of operation, but you will not be expected to work every hour listed above.Boarding kennels shifts are on a rotating schedule on the weekends.This ensures consistent coverage and continuity of care for our patients.Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, customer service, or front-desk role is preferred but not required Familiarity with veterinary operations, animal anatomy, husbandry, or medications is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation Medium work:exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly Commitment to following all safety procedures to minimize risk of injury Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours:25 - 40 per week Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Uniform allowance Work Location:In person.
