The Role in Brief We are looking for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon & Urgent Care Clinician to handle our diverse daily caseload. This isn't your typical general practice; you will be the primary point of care for pets needing immediate surgical intervention or urgent medical management. If you enjoy a "hands-on" approach and prefer the pace of emergency work over standard wellness exams, this role offers the clinical variety you are looking for. What You Will Do Emergency Surgery: Perform essential soft-tissue surgeries including pyometras, foreign body removals, and wound repairs. Urgent Care Triage: Evaluate and stabilize walk-in patients with acute illnesses or injuries. Diagnostic Interpretation: Utilize digital X-rays and comprehensive in-house blood work to direct patient care. Patient Advocacy: Communicate medical findings clearly to pet owners, focusing on pragmatic treatment paths. Clinic Flow: Work closely with a skilled support team to manage patient intake and surgical scheduling efficiently. What We Are Looking For Credentials: DVM or VMD degree with a valid Texas state veterinary license. Surgical Skill: Strong confidence in soft-tissue surgical techniques and anesthesia protocols. Clinical Mindset: Ability to remain calm and focused during high-volume periods or emergency arrivals. Communication: A human-first approach to client service—no jargon, just honest and helpful guidance. Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and a willingness to support staff development in a fast-paced environment.
