Westerville Veterinary Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic and detail oriented Veterinary Technician to join our team! Overnight shifts, potentially 3 days on, 4 off. A Little About Us... About the Position... This position is scheduled for a minimum of 36 hours per week but can at times approach more than 40 hours. The shift begins at 8pm and ends the next morning at 8am. Work three days per week and you are still full time! Nightly duties of our technicians include, but are not limited to: Patient check-ins and discharges Excellent client communication, including going over estimates for services, and understanding why each item within the estimate is being recommended. Obtain thorough medical histories Monitoring hospitalized patients and providing scheduled treatments IV catheter placement Intubation Anesthetic induction and monitoring Acquiring digital radiographs and submitting them to a boarded radiologist for review Low stress restraint Accurate invoicing Organizing and managing nightly workflow Other relevant duties as required Understanding and properly dispensing prescribed medication Do these attributes describe you? You LOVE 3rd shift Detail-Oriented Strong Critical Thinker Able to Work at a Fast Pace Love Animals, and also at least LIKE people Great Interpersonal Skills Basic Computer Skills Strong Desire to Learn Fun, Positive Attitude Position Requirements... This position requires a positive attitude, at least two years of clinical experience in the veterinary field and a willingness to be mentored, as needed. This is the overnight shift. Technicians on this shift need to be willing to learn to work independently and multitask. We are willing to train applicants during the day shift for a few weeks before transitioning over to night shift if needed. What's next?
