Experienced Veterinary Technician Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance - Gallatin, TN Join a mission-driven team making a real impact in our community.Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance is a nonprofit, high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter clinic dedicated to reducing shelter intake and euthanasia by providing accessible, low-cost services.We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and team members to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care Perform blood draws Administer IV medications Patient restraint and surgical preparation Intubation and anesthesia monitoring Surgical recovery and post-operative care Maintain accurate drug logs and medical records Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting (not entry-level) Ability to accurately read and interpret medical records and ensure services are performed correctly Strong proficiency and confidence in technical skills listed above Excellent animal handling and patient care skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and emotional maturity Energetic, reliable, and punctual Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the day We're looking for someone who is compassionate, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.We value team members who show initiative and leadership potential, as this role offers opportunities for growth into a leadership position.Position Details Full-time (40-44 hours/week) Hours between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Closed weekends and holidays Salary based on experience Opportunities for advancement, including future leadership roles Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance is a nonprofit organization committed to reducing the shelter intake and euthanasia of dogs and cats by providing high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter services to our community.Since 2011, we have proudly served our community as a trusted and established nonprofit organization.We encourage all applicants to familiarize themselves with our mission prior to applying, as our work is uniquely mission-driven.Learn more:www.SumnerSpayNeuterAlliance.org Pay:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours:40 - 44 per week Benefits:Continuing education credits Employee discount Paid time off Relocation assistance Uniform allowance Work Location:In person.
