The Balazs Laboratory at the Ragon Institute is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative and diverse research team focused on advancing immunology and infectious disease research. This role supports the development of innovative humanized mouse models, including complex procedures such as survival surgery, to enable broad scientific discovery. In this hands-on role, you will provide expert animal care, support research activities, and collaborate closely with investigators, veterinary staff, and laboratory colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary professional interested in laboratory animal medicine, research support, and translational science. Job Summary Provide animal care and medical assistance for laboratory animals. Perform rounds, triage, treat, and monitor basic clinical cases. Assist with collecting diagnostic and health surveillance samples. Assist the veterinary team and other hospital staff by caring for and cleaning patients and facilities, including completing patient treatments. Provides research support by communicating with the research regarding clinical cases and documentation. In addition to other tasks involved in the operation of the animal research program. After hours, rotating weekend and holiday work may be required. Key Responsibilities Be knowledgeable in the daily care and husbandry for laboratory animals, including feeding, wat
