Job Overview Erie Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing, multi-doctor team. We are an AAHA-accredited, independently owned small animal hospital that has proudly served Erie and the surrounding communities for over 25 years. After a recent expansion and remodel, we are excited to welcome a compassionate, motivated RVT who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about exceptional patient care. We are a full-service hospital with advanced diagnostics and equipment, including digital radiology, in-house laboratory, digital dental radiology with DentalAir, ultrasound, and surgical laser. We also incorporate complementary medicine such as acupuncture, therapeutic laser, and Chinese herbs to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Responsibilities Provide compassionate care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotics Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures Perform dental cleanings, blood draws, laboratory testing, and radiology Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries Safely restrain animals and lift up to 50 pounds as needed Communicate clearly and professionally with clients Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital Follow Fear Free and Cat Friendly Practice guidelines Qualifications & Skills Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the State of Colorado (required), a registered PVT will also be considered.
