The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Business Development to lead and expand our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services tailored for the Retail industry, specifically focusing on retail, e-commerce and marketplace clients. This role will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and accelerating revenue growth across the sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in the BPO services industry, combined with a robust understanding of Retail clients’ needs, and a proven track record in delivering transformative business solutions. This role requires a leader who is comfortable with new technology and disruptive solutions being led by AI and can both solution and sell to respective clients in their industry. The Responsibilities & Duties Understand and apply AI and CX and disruptive solutions to solve the industry’s latest needs. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to acquire new clients in the retail, e-commerce, and marketplace. Identify and target high-potential accounts, cultivate relationships with decision-makers, and close high-value deals. Analyze market trends and customer needs to ensure our offerings align with industry demands. Drive new revenue streams by upselling and cross-selling BPO services within existing accounts. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure, with a focus on strategic partnerships. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, operations, and service delivery to ensure seamless execution of client solutions. Provide thought leadership and market insights to ensure our services remain innovative and competitive. Develop and implement effective sales strategies and performance metrics to drive business growth within target industries. Provide regular reporting and forecasting to the executive team, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), pipeline health, and revenue projections. Stay ahead of market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in the BPO and technology industries. Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to elevate brand presence and thought leadership. Contribute to content creation (whitepapers, case studies, blogs) that showcase the company’s expertise in delivering BPO services to the technology sector. The First-Year Objectives Design a business development strategy to engage an identified target list based on assigned accounts. Qualify 12 opportunities per year. Build confidence and trust with new and current accounts through close partnerships and outstanding delivery. Engage with customers in a consultative way by understanding their value proposition and designing solutions that enable improved business outcomes. The Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field preferred 8+ years of experience in business development, with a significant portion in the BPO industry. Demonstrated success in building and maintaining C-level relationships and driving new business acquisition. Strong leadership skills with ability thelp manage people and process in navigating deals. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on, results-oriented approach. Strong understanding of BPO operations, including customer service, technical support, data management, and back-office services.
