Vice President, Clinical Research Respiratory About the Company Respected biotechnology (BioTech) company developing innovative treatments Industry Biotechnology Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President, Clinical Research Respiratory to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all clinical research activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the design, planning, execution, and reporting of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with development strategies. This key executive role involves close collaboration with the CMO, CSO, and CDO to define and execute clinical strategies, as well as leading the development and delivery of integrated Clinical Development Plans for pipeline assets. The VP will also be instrumental in cross-functional collaboration, managing external partnerships, and representing the Clinical Development function to executive stakeholders. Applicants must have an MD or MD, PhD with a strong background in clinical research and development, and specialty training in pulmonary medicine is strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years of documented industry experience in the design, conduct, and analysis of Phase 1, 2, and 3 studies, particularly in the field of lung function and exacerbation studies in asthma and COPD, is required. The role demands excellent presentation, medical writing, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with peers, the executive team, and external audiences. A proven track record in clinical trial oversight, medical review, and documentation, and a strong focus on safety and compliance are essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and be prepared for domestic and international travel.
