Vice President, Controller and Treasurer About the Company Excelling integrated financial services company Industry Consumer Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Controller to serve as the Chief Accounting Executive, with a focus on organizing, directing, and controlling all accounting activities. This hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate collection, summarization, and reporting of financial data for management, auditors, and regulatory compliance. The Controller will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, including internal and external financial reporting, internal controls, and financial accounting systems. Key duties include managing a significant cash and investments portfolio, overseeing the Finance Team, and providing technical accounting leadership to ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB. The successful candidate will also be involved in the preparation of financial statements, cash forecasting, and will have a direct impact on the organization's financial performance. Applicants for the Controller position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a Master's degree preferred, and must be a CPA. A minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience, including a proven track record as a Controller, is required. The role demands a candidate with a strong technical background in GAAP and GASB, experience in financial system implementation, and advanced proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and Hyperion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the COSO Internal Control Framework, experience in presenting to the Audit Committee, and a history of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven assignments with a high level of attention to detail.
