Job Description
Vice President, Financial Reporting and SEC Reporting About the Company Globally renowned media & entertainment company Industry Entertainment Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President of Financial Reporting with a strong background in external financial reporting for multiple publicly traded entities. This high-impact leadership role involves owning the preparation, review, and filing of various SEC reports, leading cross-functional coordination to ensure accurate and timely disclosures, and managing U.S. GAAP financial statement disclosures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating annual audits, overseeing quality control for financial communications, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting processes. Applicants for the Vice President of Financial Reporting position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree in Accounting being a plus, and a CPA is required. A minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 firm, and industry experience with substantial SEC reporting exposure is essential. The role demands a deep understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and disclosure requirements, as well as hands-on experience with the Workiva reporting platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment, and exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI is a plus. The role also requires the ability to perform technical accounting and disclosure research, ensure a strong internal control environment, and develop and mentor a high-performing team.
