Vice President, Fund Controller About the Company Accomplished investment management firm Industry Investment Management Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President, Fund Controller to oversee the financial and investor reporting for a significant portfolio of real estate investment funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team that handles daily accounting and finance tasks, as well as monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including the review of transactional activity, management fees, carried interest calculations, and performance metrics. This role also involves the supervision of fund administrators, auditors, and tax preparers, and requires close collaboration with the business, operations, and investment teams to ensure the accuracy of valuations and compliance with fund agreements. Applicants must have a CPA qualification, a Bachelor's degree in accounting, and 5-9 years' of experience, including a background in both Big 4 accounting and the private sector. Prior experience with real estate debt or general debt strategies is essential. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, particularly in the review of Limited Partnership Agreements and fund structures, to ensure compliance with fund allocations, organization costs, management fees, and carried interest. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a team, have a strong understanding of financial and investor reporting processes, and be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
