The successful candidate will be a technical and strategic partner, with a focus on actuarial reserving, regulatory reporting, and data governance. This position requires a professional with an FCAS or career ACAS designation and a minimum of 12 years' experience, who can bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reserve analysis, be adept at using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel, and possess excellent analytical skills. As the VP, Actuary - Group Actuarial, the primary responsibilities will include providing leadership and guidance in all aspects of actuarial work, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of actuarial reserves, and contributing to the development and implementation of data governance strategies. The role demands a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A deep understanding of the insurance industry and its regulatory environment is essential, as is the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
