Vice President, Information Security About the Company Prominent credit union Industry Banking Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a VP of Information Security to lead and advance its information security program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and resilience of systems and data, and will work closely with executive leadership on cyber risk strategy, compliance, business continuity, and third-party risk. Essential functions of the role include leading a proactive, enterprise-wide information security program, developing a risk-aware security strategy, and serving as the primary advisor on cyber risk for business, product, and vendor decisions. The VP will also oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning, identify and remediate security control gaps, and manage team development, budgeting, and vendor relationships. Applicants for the VP of Information Security position at the company should have a High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 5 years' experience leading enterprise information security in a regulated environment. This experience must include ownership of security strategy, risk management, executive reporting, and business resilience. A strong background in control evaluation and implementation, as well as experience in supporting security efforts within agile application development teams, is required. The ideal candidate will hold an ISC2 CISSP or similar information security leadership certification. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not mandatory, and a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is also a key requirement. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in information security strategy and a deep understanding of technical and non-technical control areas.
