Job Description
Vice President, Investment Banking M&A (Asset and Wealth Management) About the Company Accomplished investment bank Industry Investment Banking Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President for its Financial Institutions Group, with a focus on M&A within the asset and wealth management sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory mandates. This role demands a professional with a strong background in M&A, particularly within the financial institutions group, and a proven track record of working with asset managers, wealth managers, RIAs, and related subsectors. Key responsibilities include overseeing financial analyses, valuation modeling, due diligence processes, and the preparation of transaction materials. The Vice President will also be tasked with managing junior bankers, contributing to thought leadership, and maintaining client relationships. Applicants for the Vice President position should have 5-7 years' of relevant experience, advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, and a deep understanding of FIG-specific valuation drivers. The role requires the ability to operate effectively within a lean team structure, excellent communication skills, and a high level of initiative, work ethic, and leadership capability.
