Vice President, Life Product Development About the Company Reputable insurance technology (InsurTech) company Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Life and Health Product Innovation. The successful candidate will be a pivotal member of the product development team, leading the creation and launch of market-leading simplified issue life and proprietary health insurance products. This role requires a blend of strategic insight, creativity, and technical expertise to shape solutions that address market gaps and exceed the expectations of agents and consumers. Key responsibilities include engaging with carrier partners to identify product development opportunities, collaborating with sales leaders to ensure product features meet field needs, and serving as the in-house expert on market conditions and emerging trends. The VP will also be responsible for pricing strategy, product design leadership, and field-driven iteration to enhance market competitiveness. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will be a curious and creative individual, always seeking hidden insights to generate fresh product and process ideas. They should be a collaborative leader, working effectively across cross-functional teams and building trust with partners. An execution-oriented approach is essential, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the success of new product launches. The candidate should be detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills, and possess an ownership mentality, committed to delivering high-quality results. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an FSA preferred, and at least 7 years of insurance experience, particularly in the specified product areas. Strong backgrounds in product development, pricing, and competitive analysis, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills, are also necessary.
