Job Description
Vice President, Loan Settlements About the Company Accomplished alternative investment management firm Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held, Private Equity-backed About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President to take on a pivotal role in leading U.S. loan closing and settlement activities within their global credit platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end U.S. loan settlement function, ensuring that all processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and risk-controlled manner across various asset classes. This role involves leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing settlement team, as well as overseeing outsourced and nearshore closing providers. The Vice President will also serve as the senior escalation point for high-risk and time-sensitive closings, and will be the representative of the loan settlements function in various reviews, including audit, compliance, risk, and regulatory. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent being a plus. A minimum of 7 years' investment operations experience, particularly in a buy-side investment manager or comparable environment, is required. The role demands expert-level knowledge of syndicated loan closings and settlement practices, including ClearPar workflows, and advanced proficiency with WSO Admin. A strong understanding of loan documentation, trade mechanics, and funding processes across leveraged loans, private credit, and CLO structures is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-volume pipelines, meeting tight deadlines, and dealing with complex counterparties, as well as experience in team leadership and interaction with senior stakeholders.
