Position: Vice President, Multifamily Department: Multifamily Property Operations Reports to: Co-CEO & Chief Operating Officer Location: Bala Cynwyd, PA with extensive travel to other markets JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President role is responsible for assisting with the acquisition, financing, and disposition of multifamily assets as well as overseeing the operational, financial, and physical performance of the multifamily portfolio. Seeking an individual who has significant transactional, asset management, and operations experience and can assist in creating/implementing scalable policies and procedures. This role ensures that property-level execution fully aligns with ownership objectives, budgets, and asset strategies, while driving consistent operational standards across all communities. A significant amount of travel is required to fulfill the roll. Essential Functions: Provide direct oversight of all property management operations across the multifamily portfolio, ensuring communities meet or exceed established operating, financial, and service benchmarks. Lead, develop, and hold accountable all corporate multifamily employees through performance management, training, staffing optimization, and succession planning. Periodic management and evaluation of on-site employees. Ensure consistent execution of company standards related to leasing, resident experience, maintenance response times, safety, regulatory compliance, and physical condition. Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate operations, curb appeal, staffing effectiveness, and adherence to policies and procedures. Proactively identify operational gaps or inefficiencies and implement corrective action plans to improve occupancy, retention, operating margins, and team productivity. Transactional Work: Lead the underwriting process on potential transactions. Assist in the creation of business plan and implementation of same for acquisitions. Produce the data and narrative required to secure financing and assist with reviewing loan documents. Manage the closing process in concert with the due diligence coordination team on acquisitions, financings and dispositions. Financial & Revenue Performance Lead the development, execution, and ongoing management of annual operating budgets and business plans. Review weekly operations reports and monthly financials; analyze variances and implement action plans to address underperformance. Oversee revenue management strategies, vacancy readiness standards, and unit turn timelines. Ensure appropriate expense controls, vendor selection, and contract bidding processes are followed across the portfolio. Market Positioning & Leasing Support Maintain current knowledge of local competitive sets, market rents, concessions, lease terms, supply and absorption trends. Ensure on-site teams effectively implement pricing, leasing, and marketing strategies consistent with market conditions and asset objectives. Monitor ILS listings and property websites to ensure accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency Capital Projects & Physical Asset Oversight Identify capital improvement needs driven by operations, life-safety requirements, or resident experience. Collaborate with senior leadership on capital planning, scopes, and priorities. Oversee execution of approved capital projects in coordination with construction and maintenance teams, ensuring minimal operational disruption. Owner, Reporting & Risk Management Ability to manage lender relationships and lender reporting Serve as a primary operational liaison to ownership for assigned communities. Deliver timely, accurate reporting and communication regarding property performance, risks, and opportunities. Respond with urgency to owner inquiries, operational challenges, or performance concerns. Immediately escalate and manage emergency or crisis situations in coordination with executive leadership. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field preferred. Understanding of how to underwrite markets and assets in order to assist with transactions and development of business plans. 10-15+ years of varied multifamily experience. Demonstrated success driving value across multifamily communities with direct financial accountability. Advanced proficiency in property management software (Yardi strongly prefer
