Vice President of Accounting and Finance About the Company Respected construction contractor Industry Construction Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a VP of Accounting and Finance to take on a pivotal role in leading its core financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and leading budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. This hands-on position requires the maintenance of documented policies, procedures, and internal controls, as well as oversight of tax compliance and support for external audits. The VP will also be expected to provide financial insights on strategic initiatives and to develop and mentor the accounting team. Applicants for the VP of Accounting and Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA strongly preferred. A minimum of 10-15 years' progressive accounting and finance experience, particularly in the construction industry, is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in Big Four public accounting, expertise in U.S. GAAP, job costing, WIP, and consolidated financials, and proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel/BI tools. Experience with Viewpoint Vista is a plus. The role demands a leader who can drive process improvements, partner with executive leadership, and have a significant impact across the organization.
